Shown: Outdoor bows that I have been using for years.
Do you hesitate to buy or make bows because you do not think that they will survive seasonal storage? Try this trick---
You will need---
- Empty gift wrap tubes
- Tissue wrap (optional)
- Twine
- Thin wire (optional)
- Coat hanger
- Scissors
- Using care and scissors or another sharp tool, make two holes opposite one another about 1" from one end of the tube.
- Thread a 12" length of twine through both holes and knot close to the ends. This is the top of your tube.
- If your bows do not have a wire, add a generous length through the center of each one and twist a few times on the back side.
- Plump bow loops with tissue wrap if you desire.
- Attach your first bow close to the top of the tube by wrapping the wire around and twisting it a few times. Continue adding bows until the tube is full.
- Insert the coat hanger hook through the twine loop at the top of the tube.
- To cover your bows with a light-weight plastic bag, make a small hole in the center of the bottom of the bag and thread the hanger hook through it.
Your bow saver is ready to hang on a nail or hanger rail until you want to use your bows again.
